Re: 2011 Mondeo - constant DPF regeneration, cannot reset DPF_SOOT_LD Post by darekM » Fri Dec 14, 2018 9:36 pm I've left the car at offical Ford dealer/service yesterday. Hi All, New joiner and know zero about cars and engines so please go easy on me. I purchased an 2008 S-MAX 2.0 TDCI (Automatic Diesel) 3 months ago. I only ever do short journeys and very rarely go on the motorway. Last week my engine Amber light came on, the car runs as normal (not in limp mode) The DPF can start regeneration in a couple of ways, but both need the exhaust gases to get extremely hot – usually around 500 degrees Celsius. All 1.6-litre and 2.0-litre Ford TDCi engines
Having had a 2.0 tdci mondeo and being a ford tech I’ve came across this on my own 130000 mile car and others, 2 rubber pipes off the dpf to the bulkhead sensor brake up, suck in or just crumble away, either way you need to replace those, some times the sensor also. You then need ids to do a forced regen because it hasn’t been able to do one.
Apologies if I've posted this in the wrong place, still new to the site. I've a 2008 Mondeo 2.0 TDCI, bought private and days after buying the engine management light came on, plugged into FORScan and had code P2002, (Diesel particulate filter below threshold bank 1). . 849 51 287 463 570 162 666 110
