I’m trying to work out what gear / speed feels better ( on the boil - as they would say) for each gear. I still have the factory shift light enabled it seems to be 60km / 80km / 100km for 2nd/ 3rd / 4th I haven’t *found* the shift light for 5th it was above 120 Km/h - I already shifted to 6th.

The new Royal Enfield twins looks quite neat. Performance should be comparable. But Guzzi makes the V7 engines since 1977, they are known to be very reliable, while the Indian RE reputation is the opposite (through the years they were plagued with issues, the new ones are supposed to be better but who knows).
Many Guzzi owners care not for speed, such things are antithetical to the goose-clan. I'm no speed demon, I like to hit 100 every now and then for funsies on an empty highway on a Sunday morning. If it doesn’t work or is removed, the starter motor does nothing. If the relay is corroded or sticky, the starter motor may spin then stop in one second. Or it may spin weakly. It can imitate a weak battery. The relay in the middle is for the high and low head beams. # 5 on the Guzzi wiring diagram.
